How to get to us

If motoring from the south, follow the M6 and M74 to the south side of Glasgow, then the M8 and A8 to Greenock.  Once you reach Greenock, take the A770 through Gourock to the Western Ferries car terminal about 2 miles to the west of Gourock town centre. Western Ferries (tel 01369 704452) operate a 20 minute car ferry service which runs at least ½ hourly through the day.  When you reach Hunters Quay,  turn left out of the ferry terminal and follow the A815 until you reach the second roundabout in the centre of Dunoon (next to the Queens Hall and Castle Gardens).  Follow the signs for Innellan first left – the turn off into Park Avenue is just around the corner after The Boat House Cafe on the left.

An alternative and more scenic route is via the A82 up Loch Lomond side,  then the A83 over the Rest and Be Thankful, the A815 down Lock Eck side and finally the A885 into Dunoon.   It can take between 1½ to 2 hours to cover this route – however, the views are stunning.   When you reach Dunoon,  follow the A885 until you join up with the A815 at the foot of John Street.  Turn right at the first roundabout and shortly you will come to the second roundabout as above.

By train – take the ScotRail (Tel 0845 755 0033) service from Glasgow Central to Gourock and then catch the Argyll Ferries (Tel 01475 650338) passenger only service to Dunoon.  Both the bus and the passenger ferry terminate at the pier head which is less than ½ mile easy walking distance from the hotel.

For more information speak to reception and we will be glad to help, including contact details for our local bus service West Coast Motors.
